The Friday Haul (Tuesday Morning Edition)

I know it has been a LONG time since I have posted a garage sale “Friday Haul” post. I still go garage sale-ing most Fridays, but most of my purchases are not really blog post worthy.
However, this one was an exception!!

The frame was $1. I don’t know what I will do with it, but I couldn’t pass it up. I might end up making a new chalkboard, since I gave my other one to a friend. Or, I might make a message board like the one in Cole’s room. …

Bluebird Chic Ring Giveaway!

Congratulations to Rachel, the winner of the Bluebird Chic Ring Giveaway!
This giveaway is now closed!

I met Leah in the forums of our first digital scrapbooking class a few years ago. We were learning all of the same things, but she was working outside the box and testing her new skills more than the rest of us. I asked “chicscrapper” how she accomplished something in Photoshop, she answered my question, and from then on I noticed when her name popped up in all of the different digital scrapbooking forums we visited. …

Using Catalina Promos to My Advantage!

I went shopping on Friday, but I’m just now getting around to posting about my trip! Thankfully, if you head out tonight you should be able to pick up all of these same deals. This is what I bought:

Of course, this is not a freakishly incredible extreme couponing trip, right? However I have had several friends ask me to explain to them how I am able to feed my family of 4 on just $200 a month, so I figured that I should just show you and give you a …

Life in the Kingdom of Bob

Yesterday I had the fun opportunity to share a bit about my Dad during our Father’s Day service at church! On Thursday, my pastor sent me an email, so I agreed to share and then started writing down my notes, but I could NOT for the life of me get it all to flow! So, I did what any panicked little girl would do, and I called my Daddy for help.

I have briefly shared this before, but just as a little background, I’m the second of 10 kids. (That’s us …

My Baby is 5

It is so hard to believe that 5 years ago today, our family was blessed by this amazing little boy.

He has been the Delight of my Life since the very beginning.

He is my little buddy, my constant companion, and my precious boy.

He is silly and goofy and so very fun to be with. He is our comedian!

He loves his family so much and will tell us all a million times a day! His best friends are his Daddy and his Brother, but I’m his special Mommy!
He loves soccer and running …

Keeping it Real: I have holes in my house.

Last week I revealed my Sock Monster shame. I’ll admit that I didn’t get around to matching up the socks until yesterday . . . which means that I broke my pinkie promise. So sorry.
Today, I must share another shameful area of my life. I have holes in my house.

This one is in the Master Bathroom. Mitch was doing something with the screwdriver, it slipped and it created a small hole in the wall. Small holes are so temping to little fingers, and pretty soon it became a bigger hole. …

Summer Plans

It’s inevitable this time of year. Both boys are out of school and all of the sudden people are asking us about our summer plans.
Actually, this is probably the first time that I have had a real answer. See, last week I printed out a summer calendar for our family which includes the following:
Vacation Bible School
Our church is doing Pandamania VBS this year, and I get to be my son’s teacher for the first time! I’ve been helping out with VBS for about 5 years, but I’ve always requested …
