I have SO many things on my mind lately . . . which is probably why I haven’t written any blog posts. I get overwhelmed. Do you know the feeling? SO many ideas. SO many things to share. It’s a bit paralyzing.
Instead of blogging about each and every idea, I decided to blog in list format. Forgive me?? Thanks!
#1 - A new Trader Joe’s just opened up in Salem, so I went and checked it out one day after my haircut. It’s kind of a fun place. Blue chips. Lots …

I know it has been a LONG time since I have posted a garage sale “Friday Haul” post. I still go garage sale-ing most Fridays, but most of my purchases are not really blog post worthy.
However, this one was an exception!!
The frame was $1. I don’t know what I will do with it, but I couldn’t pass it up. I might end up making a new chalkboard, since I gave my other one to a friend. Or, I might make a message board like the one in Cole’s room. …

About 5 years ago, I was hugely pregnant with my little blessing, sweet Cole. I was so excited to decorate his room with all of the care that I put into Grant’s room in our old house in Newberg (where we lived before moving to Dallas). And, since Grant came 4 weeks early, I thought it would be a good idea to start sooner rather than later. I distinctly remember standing on one of our barstools with a paintbrush in my hand, reaching as high as possible to paint the …

That may be one of the longest titles I’ve ever written, and it certainly isn’t following SEO guidelines, but I don’t care. I seriously paid 50¢ for 6 bottles of Motts apple juice and 5 boxes of Quaker granola bars.
Angela from Frugal Living NW is out of town this week, so she asked her readers to scope out the Safeway ad to find the great match-ups. I didn’t have my ad, so I couldn’t contribute much, but the other readers found some great deals! I love the Frugal Living NW …

I just had to share. I hope you don’t mind.
Today I took the boys to the last of the free summer movies “in town”, aka Salem (I hope you’ve enjoyed them in your area, too!), and then popped on over to Kohl’s for some nephew-birthday shopping. Had to swing into the clearance jewelry isle on my way to buy marked down sunglasses (I know, I’m all over the place - and I DID find a toy, too, thank-you-very-much).
Kohl’s clearance jewelry. LOVE it. Seriously. If you …

I’ve been slowly but surely expanding my comfort zone when it comes to buying second hand. Remember when I bought my first Goodwill shoes? That was a pretty big moment for me. I’ve purchased some great clothes from Goodwill since then, but I find that I get MUCH better deals at garage sales.
I showed you my major jeans score for my son (and I’ve found even MORE since that post). I’ll never buy brand new jeans for my boys again. After all, I can always patch them up with my …

So, I heard about the Kraft deal, swung by a local (but not my regular) Safeway store to grab some $1/1 peelies (coupons that you peel off the package), and then last night I rocked it. This is what I bought at Safeway for $5.31:
Oh, yeah. I took advantage of the ice cream deal, too!
I did this in two transactions. Here are the highlights:
First, I did the cheese deal. I used my coupons and my doublers, then paid $2.95 out of pocket and earned a $5 Catalina (coupon that printed …

You’re right. It has been a while since I have posted, but I have some really great excuses!! First, life has been busy with boys. Fun stuff!! The boys were enrolled in Vacation Bible School in the morning, then they came home for lunch and off to 5-Day-Club (essentially a neighborhood VBS) in the afternoon. Sweet! It gave me a much needed break from non-stop “mommy-responsibility”.
I’ve been using that time to work on some new products, coming up with a new preview (packaging for my digi stuff), a new logo, …
