It feels like forever since I have updated you on the progress of my goal to pay for Christmas 2010 using Amazon gift cards purchased with Swagbucks. Oh, wait. It HAS been forever. I skipped June. Oops!

I confess that I did spend some of those gift cards already. I don’t feel terribly guilty about it since I bought Father’s Day gifts and a present for Grant’s birthday. However, it does bring my total down a little bit.

Here’s the breakdown:

  • January -the challenge begins (and I explain what Swagbucks is).
  • February - I had accumulated $30 in Amazon Gift Cards purchased with my Swagbucks.
  • March -I had earned another $50 worth of gift cards, bringing my total to $80.
  • April -I had earned another $70 worth of gift cards, bringing my total to $150!!
  • May -I earned another $75 worth, bringing my total to $225!! I shared my secrets in the May post!!
  • June -I forgot to update you, but I did earn another $50! By then, I had $275 worth of Amazon Gift Cards purchased using Swag Bucks. Of course, I spent about $50 of it on gifts (but we’ll just ignore that fact an continue on so that you guys can see how much I earn over the whole year).
  • July - It is now July, and I have added another $50 to the total! So far this year, I have accumulated $325 worth of Amazon gift cards that were purchased using my Swag Bucks! I actually decided to hold on to the electronic gift card codes (instead of just entering them into my Amazon account right away) so that I can send the codes to family members living in other states. Oh, sure, I might send my college-aged brother four codes for $5 gift cards, but they are so easy to enter that it is no big deal, and he gets $20, so he won’t care. Sure makes for easy presents!!

Remember that all I am doing is using Swag Bucks as my search engine rather than using Google or Yahoo or some other search engine. It is my default search engine in my toolbar, so it is completely natural for me to simply type in my search just like you would and then randomly earn Swag Bucks! It takes NO extra effort on my part at all. I just search and win!!

Intrigued? Then go ahead and sign up as one of my referrals! That way, when you win, I win!!

By the way, it’s Mega Swag Bucks Day!! Your search could earn you double or triple the SBs, so start searching!! (Ooh! I just earned 12!!)
