Well, it’s Black Friday! The day of all the amazing sales. Wonderful deals on things that we just HAVE to have.

And where was I at 6:00am? At home. My husband went hunting (and bagged quite a few ducks! Blech.), so I stayed home with the boys. I live in an inky-dinky town (which is close to a larger city, so don’t feel sorry for me!), and like most small, American towns, we have a Safeway, a Rite-Aid, and a Walmart.

At about 7:45 I woke Grant up. He said, “What? Do I have school today? Then why are you waking me up so early?” I’m sorry, but that just cracked me up!! He’s never complained about waking up on a non-school day, and yet this morning my first grader sounded like a teenager. It gave me the giggles! And, so he got up.

I took the boys out on the town to see what we could see. Okay, so actually, my goal was to hit Rite-Aid before 9:00am to grab my 2 free 2-liters with any purchase of $10 or more. I should have taken a picture of what I purchased, but I’ll just break it down for you:

2-2 liters of Pepsi products
2 bags of Hershey’s Kisses
2 bags of Hershey’s Miniatures
1 box of feminine items (blush . . . yes, I blush at 33 . . . )
5 packs of super-nice, majorly expensive (uh, well, regularly $7.99 each) Schick razors
1 can of shaving cream
1 Oral-B toothbrush

And, I paid $10.74 OOP (out of pocket)

PLUS, I’ll be getting $6 back in Rite-Aid Rebates, and I am closer to my Gift of Savings reward! Which means, that I got all of that for only $4.74. (And if I’d been paying attention, I would have picked up the correct bags of chocolate OR used another coupon, however . . . I had the boys with me. I am not terribly successful when the boys are with me, bless their little hearts!)

If this is the first time you’ve come to my blog, I just need to warn you that I’m a couponer. I am.

WHY am I telling you all of this on my 30/30 post? Well, because this cute little Popcorn Cup Template is filled with Hershey’s Kisses that I picked up on sale this morning!! Wahoo!

I used papers, a button and a flower from my stash by Close To My Heart and a ribbon from who-knows-where.

Isn’t it cute? This would NOT last in my tree. I’ll tell ya that right now. I wonder if the contents will even last one evening! It is cute, though. Imagine this little box with a little Matchbox car or itty-bitty My Little Pony tucked inside! (I know. I’m gettin’ all commercial on ya.)
