He may just kill me. I mean, YES, we do have a 3-car garage, but that 3rd spot is supposed to be for man stuff. Not for my garage sale steals. But, don’t tell him that, PLEASE! So far, I have him fooled. He thinks that I’m some sort of garage sale genius (or at least in my mind he thinks that of me!).

Wait until Mitch sees this:

How much do you think I spent this morning, hmm? Just guess. Take a gander.

I’ll wait.

Have you guessed?

Ready to hear how much I spent on 2 chairs, one side table, one vanity seat/ottoman thingy, a huge tray and a candle stick?

Really?

Ready?

$4.50. Four dollars and fifty cents. Less than five bucks. For this haul!

Yes. It will be painted. Can you even IMAGINE?!?! I promise that one of those chairs is going to be some fun, funky color (or at least not black). The other one will probably be black, just ’cause. The nightstand might end up in one of the boys’ rooms. Red, maybe? The candlestick could be the same funky color as the chair (oh, and it was free because the guy didn’t want to do the math to give me change!! Ha!). The vanity bench will be painted black and get a new fabric cover. (I’ve always wanted to do that! Weeeeee!) And I’ll use it in my bathroom (’cause I have a vanity), so that I don’t have to use that wooden folding chair that I’ve been using for 4 years.

I’m so excited!! Now, I just need to PAINT!

And, I haven’t forgotten to post “after” pics of my last garage sale haul. I just can’t seem to get good ones. Plus, I sorta want to show you what I am doing with the items. You know, everything in it’s place.

I’ll get around to it at some point! Don’t worry!

Great finds! I stopped at a garage sale today but it was mostly clothes which weren’t my size/style. I think I need to go garage saling (is that a word?) with you. You have good luck finding the good ones!

It’s incredible popular to go to garage sales and fleemarkets over here in Norway - and I know girls who would KILL to get stuff for that price!!! Lucky you!

Love your blog, by the way!

A most excellent haul there! You have the garage sale touch (kinda like the Midas touch) and can scope out the best deals and bargains.

I’m looking forward to seeing what they all look like re-done!
