The rest of the grocery week . . .
OH my goodness. I’ve totally been clogging your Google Readers lately, haven’t I? I’m sorry. Please don’t unsubscribe just because I’ve gone temporarily insane. I’m sure I’ll be back to some sort of normal blogging schedule soon. (Schedule? What’s a schedule? Need to look into that.)
The problem is, I have too many passions.
I am passionate about my {seriously stunning, and don’t you want to start gathering your dowry money now?} children. OH MY GOODNESS. Today has been so wonderful!! My 3-year old son sat for a STUNNING (hopefully I’m not over-using the word) picture today, right before we went to his preschool program. His preschool program just left me aching with love for this child. GOOD GRIEF. I’m feeling terribly hormonal right now. Sorry about that. But, he was JUST SO PERFECT!!!!! {Thank You, Lord, for blessing me with this child!!} Cole is the most amazing 3-year-old I have ever met. He is wonderful, sincere, helpful, goofy, endearing . . . everything I could ever hope for. It kinda makes me sad that he is my baby and the last, but he sure makes me PROUD to be his mama. In a major way. Probably bordering on sinful pride. But, I’m sure God understands . . . and maybe feels the same way.
Cole accompanied me to Safeway today. Usually a terror-filled experience. Oh, who am I kidding? My “perfect” child was a little less-than-perfect today, but the cookie at the bakery sure helped him flip the switch.
You saw my first Safeway trip, right?
Today, I spent the rest of my $50 for the week. On this (and OH, how I wish I could buy some ham!! Maybe next week.):
BEFORE coupons and club card savings: $57.26
Total spent Out of Pocket: $13.03 - could have been less if I’d done multiple transactions, but I was feelin’ lazy.
HIghlights:
4 boxes of Corn Flakes=FREE (used the Target coupon, and it WORKED! Check out the coupon blogs I’ve referenced in the past if you have no idea what I’m talking about.)
2 bags of Thomas Everything Bagels ($4.19 each) = .19¢ - I wrote to Thomas and they sent me some $4 off coupons, plus Safeway is having a BOGO this week!
Betty Crocker Frosting = 19¢ - ecoupons loaded onto my Safeway card (go to Safeway.com)
Betty Crocker Potatoes = FREE - ecoupons
5 bags of shredded Kraft Cheese = $5.95 (or $1.19 each - NOT the best deal, but I wasn’t thinking straight.)
5# bag of Mandarin Oranges (my children love me) - $2.77 with MC from Sunday paper and a GREAT sale.
There were a couple of things that I had to pay full price for (ARGH), but I’m feeling good about this trip!
(Um, we are now up to 32 boxes of cereal. Hmm . . . )

You remembered the salt! I picked up Nestle chocolate chips yesterday too. I was stuck paying full price on a couple things I needed for holiday baking that I didn’t realize I was low on. At least I spent enough for the free sugar.

I must admit I’m getting addicted reading your coupon adventures. It is really fun to save money when it comes to grocery shopping.:) by the way, I love your templates but I don’t have talents for hybrid projects.
