My First Blog Hop and a Contest!
Have you subscribed in a feed reader or by Email? Don't forget to follow me on Twitter! And, you can "Like" me on my Facebook Fan Page! Might as well subscribe to my newsletter, too!
I read a lot of really cool blogs, including those of my Creative Team members. Many of these talented gals are on Design Teams for stamping companies or challenge blogs, or any number of creative/crafty places that hold regular blog hops. I must confess that I have never actually participated in a blog hop. However, I think it is a great way to get some inspiration and see some beautiful blogs!
Behold! You are witnessing the very first Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs Creative Team Blog Hop! (Yes, its a long name, but then it is much better than “Michael Scott’s Dunder Mifflin Scranton Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Pro-Am Fun Run Race For The Cure.” Anyone out there watch The Office?)
Anywho!
Here is my lovely contribution to the blog hop! I chose to create a project with my new favorite template, the Top-Heavy Box. The gals on my CT have joked about the name of the template, but the design is SO stinkin’ cute that I hope you can forgive me for such a hokey name.
I love this orange ribbon! It was actually off of a vase of roses Mitch gave me for Valentines Day. Such pretty ribbon! And, the digital paper is from Artsy Papers One by Roben-Marie Designs (The Digichick). It was just begging me to print it! I also used Say it in Crystals by Prima, and a button from . . . maybe my black coat? I don’t remember.
I wanted to show you something! Check out how I “fasten” my projects. I used to use glue dots, but I have discovered velcro. I bought it in the craft section of Walmart. This stuff is see-through on the “hook” side and white on the “loop” side. It is perfect for little gifty projects like this where the package is a gift in itself! You can hardly see it!
Okay, now onto the contest!!
Would you like to win a $10 Gift Certificate to Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs? If so, go check out all of the Creative Team Member’s projects, leaving some love along the way, then head back over to THIS blog and leave a comment for me. Tell me which project you liked the best, or which project you can see yourself doing next.
Want another chance to win? Twitter about this blog hop and leave another comment on my blog! Facebook it, and leave another comment for another chance! I will pick a random winner by this Friday evening. The more comments you leave me, the better your chances of winning!

AWESOME Kelleigh!! The Top Heavy box is still one of my faves!!

Wow! Love this! Thanks for the tip on the Velcro! I’ll be back to buy some templates after I hop!

The hop was fun and thanks for the tip on the velcro closure.
I loved them all but those Pyramid lollipop holders with the mummy by Sunghee (creativityinprogress.com/blog) are so sweet.
I’ll put the hop on Facebook next.
Hugs from Michigan

All of the hybrid projects are great! My favorite project is Julie’s mini-envelopes using the Coke box. Really bold graphic look, and a great way to reuse/recycle!

I really enjoyed seeing all the creations made by your talented team, but I can see myself making a matchbox like Juli’s. I think it’s a great way to give a little gift to someone.

Hi Kelleigh! Your Top Heavy Box is terrific and that orange ribbon is fantastic! I loved Dana’s original project for your cookie wrapper and really enjoy seeing (and getting ideas for) what would go inside. And Julie’s Coke box mini enevelopes were a perfect little piece of pop art made practical and Green! Congrats on your first Creative Team blog hop, it was a lot of fun! :>

I always enjoy your (and your CT’s) creations but forget to take the time to look sometimes. These are ALL great, it was hard to pick but I think my fav is the one from Julie. It will be a great “honey do” thank you….which of course leads to more “honey do’s”. Really though, they are all wonderful.

AWESOME!!!! I could totally see myself doing the cookie wraps hybrid! We are going to have a military bake sale coming up to raise money for our FRG (family readiness group) and this would TOTALLY make us some more sales!

I just twittered about it but I’m not sure if you can see it if you are not a follower… here’s the link anyway!

Hi Kelleigh - I’ve never followed a blog hop before - but I am so glad I did because my head is buzzing with creative ideas now - your team’s projects are fabulous - amazing… I really really love Julee’s reuse of the pencil box template… But I must say, if it’s okay to, that your Top Heavy Box here on your blog is my fav… It’s so enchanting and luxurious… I love it! I am off to see if I can find you on facebook now!… .x.

All the projects are great. I really like the Top Heavy Box and I’m going to look for those velcro closures. I like the idea of the clear. Thanks for sharing. Okay if I have to pick just one Fave here it would have to be Julee’s pencil box. So elegant and I will be making some of these for sure. Fun Hop today. Thanks and I hope you have a ton of visitors.

Nice blog hop! I liked the mini envelopes on Julie’s blog the best. Christmas is coming and gift card holders are wonderful and they make good journaling envelopes for scrapbooking and mini books.

Hi Kelleigh,
I have gone to each of the fun blogs for this fun blog hop and now I can’t decide what I want to do first. I think I like the Pencil Box the best but then again they are all good. Do you take Paypal? I would like to order the pencil box if you do.
Thanks, Dahlene

Loved the Hop. I need to made favors for our church’s Ladies Night Out. The pencil box template would be great. Julee did a super job. However I am leaning toward Christy’s triangular treat box. Will just have to experiment and find out which is EASIER. I have a lot to make!
Thank you, Linda

Okay, asking us to choose only one project is really mean of you! LOL My fave is Julee’s “pencil box turned into a candy box” project… probably because it’s so simple but with the little details that make it so cute! Loved every single creation, though, you girls make me wanna grab my scissors and glue! LOL

Oh, man! Those projects were all SO ADORABLE!! I am having a hard time trying to decide which is my fav! Since I *just* made the top heavy box today for another CT requirement, I’m gonna go with that one as my fave! Thanks for sharing all your awesome CT with us! I can’t wait to try out some of the other projects! WOOT!
