I had a little bit of time to kill this afternoon as I wait patiently until it is time to leave for my weekend adventure. SO, I finished another layout!
Everything is by Jen Wilson, and that is my own handwriting, which was made into a font by Darcy Baldwin.
“What are you doing today?”
Thank you for asking.
Actually, I’m going WAAAAYYY out of my comfort zone here and I’m actually going to a scrapbooking workshop by myself. All the way in Eugene. AND, with a bunch of gals who are real tight and do this kind of thing together all the time. PLUS, I’m going to be working with vintagy scrap stuff, which is also SO not me.
I’m attempting to break out of my “linear” box (if you haven’t noticed by my recent digi layouts). Actually, it is much easier to break out of the box in my digital layouts than it is with my paper layouts (which I never show you, and for that I am sorry!). I have a love for paper, and I hate the idea of ruining it by cutting it wrong or tearing it wrong or anything that would cause irreparable damage to the pretty stuff. That is exactly why I have a HUGE scrap room with a ton of gorgeous supplies that I rarely touch. I mean, I guess I touch it. Fondle it, really. I just have a hard time using it. I’m a total hoarder. Just ask my IRL scrap friends.
I hope to remedy the sickness this weekend by hanging out with the gals from Cocoa Daisy at the “come play: september vintage” event. Ali Edwards mentioned it on her blog (she’s one of the regulars), and invited her local readers to attend, so I signed up.
Did I mention that I’m sleeping over at a stranger’s house? {insert nervous puking smiley here} I feel like a teenager. What if they don’t like me? What if I don’t fit in? What if I’m ignored? What if I say something stupid (or rude) and then everyone shuns me for the rest of the night?
Do you know WHY I’m sleeping over? Because tomorrow we are getting up at the butt crack of dawn (sorry, mom) to go to the Coburg Antique Fair. I’m excited about this. My friends from Serendipity (fav local store) will be there, which means that it is sure to be a cool place to buy vintage goods!
Anyway, I’m super excited and super nervous. And, if I don’t leave in about 10 minutes I’m going to be late. So, enjoy your Saturday night! Have a happy Sunday! I’ll be back soon!

Kell I love reading your blog girl and that layout is full of amazing digi goodness

Sweet, sweet layout! Thank you for sharing it and for breaking out of your comfort zone. I hope you had a truly fabulous time this weekend. I can’t imagine anyone shunning you or not liking you, especially if you are anything like your blog posts. I would so enjoy spending time with you IRL.
Can’t wait to hear about your fun times!

My dear Kelleigh - It was such a delight to have you join us this weekend ! I certainly hope you felt at home and welcomed this weekend. We really do like to have fun and we’re a friendly bunch ! I am so glad you stepped outside your comfort zone and had fun. I love all of the locker baskets you picked up - great finds ! And I hope you were inspired to play and use non-traditional items you might not have though of before. We can’t wait for you to join us again - and bring your friends. There is no reason why the living room floor can’t be full of air-mattresses ! Blessings - Jill
