Ladybug Card Template!

Have you seen my new Ladybug Card Template and Cutting Files set?

I gave my Facebook Fans a little video sneak peek last week. I think it is so adorable!!

For my sample, I cut out the body shape and the dots from some black cardstock using my Cricut Expression and Sure Cuts A Lot software. Totally quick and easy!!

Then, I added some digital paper from the ABCs & 123s digital kit by Sugarplum Paperie to the wing shapes in Photoshop. I have used this kit so many times this year! Excellent value! I printed the wings on Epson Premium Presentation Paper and cut them out with my craft knife.

To assemble the card, I matched up the two notches at the top and made sure to match up the sides and bottom to the body shape. I poked a brad through all three layers and voila! I added some glittered embossing powder to the dots before sticking them on the wings. Too cute!

The label on the inside of the card is from my Designer Label Shapes set that I released last week and totally forgot to post about. Oops! Here they are!

Oh, how I love these!! SO pretty, and they cut so nicely!

Anyway, I used one of those label shapes for the inside of the Ladybug card. I actually cut two sizes of the same shape so that I could use one as a mask for inking.

Kinda fun!

I love what Jacinda did with the Ladybug template:

Don’t you love the white and red writing on the black background? Wonderful!! She just typed in white over a black background. When you print, it simply doesn’t put ink down where the typing is. Magic, huh?

The ladybug card comes in all of the forms you are used to (psd, png, pdf) plus all kinds of cutting files (ai, dxf, jpg, svg, png). Let me remind you that if you are kickin’ it old school, you can STILL use my templates! You would just print the pdf version onto the back of your chosen paper and cut it out with your scissors or craft knife!

I see so many possibilities for these shaped cards I have been making lately. Has anyone made a mini-album with one of them, yet? I’d love to see!!

While we are at it, what other color combinations have you seen on a ladybug?? I want to make MORE!
