The August 2010 Grab Bag!
I am so stinkin’ excited to finally show you my August 2010 Grab Bag!! If you follow me on Facebook (or Twitter), then you have seen a couple of sneak peeks via my vlogs (video-blogs) that I have been courageous enough to post on my Fan Page lately. (And, thank you for not saying anything about my messy office or my Minnie Mouse voice.)
I have just GOT to show you. Checkity-check it out:

Oh, yeah. That’s right. New previews, new logo, new CUTTING FILES!! Woot!
You are so excited that you can hardly contain yourself. I know.
Let me show you more . . .
(FREE paper pack by Sugarplum Paperie - Available at The Hybrid Chick)
How about a sweet little cupcake card? Hmm? Yep! It’s a card, but I can also see it as a cute little mini-album. What do you think?
Oh, that’s a fat card. Need a fat envelope? I got you covered! (In 2 sizes! Fits 5″x5″ and 4.25″x5.5″ cards!)
Are you drooling yet? Oh, yeah. Yer makin’ a little puddle. Here’s a hankie.
(By the way, I made the flower myself, following this tutorial. Too cute, huh?)
Check this one out . . .
(A Perfectly Ordinary Day collaboration digital kit by Sugarplum Paperie and Lauren Grier)
It’s a pillow box, but not just ANY pillow box. It’s a Top Heavy Pillow Box. (Lame name. I know.)
(Digital paper from the Summer Days - Noon Picnic & Carefree Afternoon Grab Bag by Mari Koegelenberg and cut borders from The Summer Days Grab Bag by The Cutting Files (also Mari!))
See? Top Heavy. {sigh}
Inside each template set, you will receive all of the files you are used to (PDF, PSD, PNG) and some new files that are specifically for your digital die-cut machine (AI, JPG, SVG and PNG). I realize that some machines use different files, but I included some universal files that can be imported to your machine’s specific software and converted to the type of file you need. I plan to have some tutorials soon!! If you are in need of a specific tutorial for your machine, let me know and I can see if I know anyone who has one! LOL!
You know what? There’s MORE!! I’ve been slowly but surely converting my existing files into cutting files, and my plan is to release the cutting files AND re-release the entire template set (including cutting files) over the next couple of month. PLUS, I’ve been inspired to create new 3D templates and flat cutting files that will make your hybrid projects extra special. I can’t wait!!
Hop on over to The Digichick and check out ALL of the amazing Grab Bags!! They are an amazing deal!!
So, do you like my Grab Bag? Tell me what you think!! (But, only if it is good. I’m fishing here . . . )

I bought your fat envies and I’m SO happy with the outcome! I resized it to fit the bookplates I put in them and it wasn’t difficult, so I’m totally thrilled
I couldn’t access the Paper flower tut because it says I need to be invited so I’m sad because your flowers are gorgeous and your cupcake card is wow. How on earth did you cut that heart out of the cupcake?! Sorry am such a dunce

Thanks for bringing that tutorial blockage to my attention, Anna! Someone mentioned it to me yesterday and I had no idea what she was talking about, but now I see what you mean. I need to do a tutorial now, huh? {note to self!}
I’m glad you like the Fat Envies!! I need to make up a batch to send to my family to hold their gift cards.
As for the heart, I used my Cricut!! I love that thing!

Hmmm, I think I’m going to start researching on Cricuts! Instead of an ice cream maker this year I’m thinking I might need one of those die-cutting machines even more! Is the Cricut also where you use your cutting files? You’re making me want to hybrid!!!

Yep! I use a Cricut Expression and Sure Cuts A Lot Software to use my cutting files. LOVE them!! It’s quite an investment, but so much fun!
Sorry to be such a pest about this but if I get a cricut machine and put in, say your Fat Envie files, it will cut it the box shape for me?!

You have to have a special software, too. If you have a Mac, get Sure Cuts A Lot. If you have a PC, you can use Sure Cuts A Lot or Make The Cut. I have SCAL, and it is really easy to understand! Just open the SVG file in SCAL and click “Cut”. Here is a link for SCAL, so you don’t have to search for it. It’s directly from the company that makes it, and it is an affiliate link, if you want to use it to support me! http://www.craftedge.com/index.php?rfid=8873111&ref=c86339e12ede7835a62992a39a5b1631

You’ve helped me out so much Kelleigh! I have a Mac so I’ll get the SCAL. When it comes time to buy, I can assure you I will come back and use the link, it’s the least I can do - now that I’m hooked and you’re my pusher, lol
Can’t wait till I get them!
