30 Ornaments in 30 Days . . . Day 19!

I had so much fun creating today’s “ornament”. It has been a while since I have played with my famous Cupcake Box Template, and I’m so glad this little challenge forced me to rediscover it! Seriously. What a cute template! This is one that I was super proud to create, since I’ve never seen anything like it, and it has caused quite a stir in the paper-crafting community. I originally created the Cupcake Box Template for the lovely participants of the Stampin’ Out Alzheimer’s fundraiser event back in May 2009. After the week long event, I popped it in my store at The Digichick, where it has continued to be one of my bestsellers. Thank you so much for loving this template as much as I do!!
Don’t forget that I have a lovely tutorial (probably my most viewed post!) right here. Oh, I’m so glad my photography skills have improved since then! Yikes! Oh, well.
One thing that I like to do, as seen in today’s sample, is use two different papers from my traditional stash (from the Jingle collection by CTMH), so that I have a cupcake and a wrapper. And, to make the “frosting” layer a little more dimensional, I like to curl it just a bit with my fingers so that it puffs a little. I attached the flower piece (made with a Prima flower, and CTMH felt, brad and pearl) with a small piece of velcro stuck to just one of the “cherry” pieces. It still slides open easily, but if a person wanted to remove the pretty (and I can’t imagine why they would!), they can.
(Gosh, I talk in parenthesis a lot!! Oh, and notice the overuse of the exclamation point. I’m just a happy gal!!!!)
Don’t forget to grab my November Grab Bag, filled with three brand new template sets, before the end of the month! I promise I will break them apart and sell them for full price in December, so get it for a screamin’ deal while you can!
Did you happen to create an ornament yesterday? If so, leave a comment so we can see!
