A couple of months ago, I became a member of Barter Boutique, which is a wonderful network of women who create and sell handmade goodies, and then TRADE! We trade for advertising (check out my two new sponsors in my sidebar!) and we exchange goods. It is SO stinkin’ cool. I can’t even tell you how cool. Well, okay, just imagine getting stuff for free in exchange for a little bit of something you have made. Seriously. It’s cool! (And, for my digi friend designers, there is a digital section, too!) If you make stuff for sale, I highly recommend becoming a member of Barter Boutique and being able to trade for your Christmas presents! Confession time: I know I SHOULD be trading for Christmas presents, but I haven’t been. I’m hoarding everything for myself. Just wait. I’ll show you what I’m getting in the next few days.

ANYwho, I was approached by Lisa, the owner of Elfing Around, to trade some of my templates for TWO elves for my boys! I was absolutely GIDDY when my package arrived, because I know my boys will be thrilled to pieces when their elves show up one morning next week.

Okay, let me explain.

Late this week, I’m going to put a letter addressed to each boy into my stack of mail, where they will discover them. The letters explain that pretty soon a special elf will be arriving for each of them. Then, one morning, the elves will show up somewhere in the house! The boys will get to wear their little elf tatoos (they love tatoos!) in celebration. Then, that night the elves will start getting into mischief!

The kit comes with a little Parent Adventure Guide glossy book that has a suggestion on one side, and a little note on the other side. For example, the suggestion for Day 1 says, “Tonight the elves were missing the snow, so they thought they’d create their own snowball fight using cotton balls or marshmallows. Your elves could be set up in an area with plenty of room for a whole bag to cotton balls or marshmallows to be all over everything.” EEEK! I’m SO excited!! Then, the other side of the book (the part that I leave for the boys) says, “Good Morning! I had so much fun during my snowball fight. Making snowballs is one of my favorite things to do! I hope I can watch you do one of your favorite things!”

Don’t you think that is SO fun!?! I am very, very excited about this, and I can just picture the excitement and anticipation it will bring to the boys!

I’m not being “paid” to tell you about this, I was just so excited that I HAD to mention it to you guys in time to order some for your own kids.
