Have I ever mentioned that we are HUGE fans of The Office? Now, we don’t actually have television - WAIT! - yes, we do have a couple of TVs, but we don’t have cable or satellite or rabbit ears. We don’t get any channels. Get it? That always throws people off . . . I could go into the details and explain all of the reasons why our family is pleased with this decision, but let me just break it down real quick for you. Does your husband turn into a zombie with eyes only for the television no matter what may be happening in the room around him? Mine did too. It was ultimately his decision to turn it off. Okay, enough about that!

ANYWHO, we love watching The Office: Seasons 1-5 on DVD. Every. Single. Night. No, really. We don’t get channels, but we watch The Office in bed every night. Hee, hee! Now, technically I’m trying to read my book (I’m an avid reader, btw) while Mitch watches The Office, but I always seem to get sucked in. “Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica.” We are fans.

You know the little Candy Dish that Pam keeps on her counter? “You know, that’s a communal dish . . . never mind.” It’s made out of acrylic and Pam keeps jellybeans in it.

One night, while watching The Office, I thought to myself, “I could make that!” I do that with boxes. I try to think of how I could create a template that will fit onto a single (usually) sheet of 8.5×11in paper. It’s not always easy, and it doesn’t always work, but it sure is a fun mental challenge!

AND, I did it:

When I was testing out my prototypes, I showed one to Mitch. He said, “That doesn’t look like Pam’s candy dish. Hers is clear.” SO, I had to make mine clear. Sunghee taught me how to use a transparency with my templates. You just print out the lines only version onto regular, cheap copy paper, put your transparency (nothin’ fancy about it, just a regular transparency leftover from my teaching days) on top of the copy paper, and then cut and score while following the lines on the paper! You might want to tape the transparency to the paper, but I didn’t.

Introducing the new Candy Dispenser Template Set! It includes a candy dispenser template and a wrap, just in case you wanted to wrap it with a different color of paper. (Thinkin’ of my paper lovin’ friends!)

Check out what Julee made. Eeek! Amazing! She always makes my templates look good!

If you are just swooning over that paper, it is Snow Friends by Danielle Engebretson. I picked it up yesterday. GORGEOUS. Oh my goodness. Seriously people. If you are not a digital gal, just PRINT IT OUT and use it like you would any paper!! It’s THAT easy!

And, by Jacinda:

So cute!! Okay, so this template has already been selling like hotcakes this morning. Go on, jump on the bandwagon!! You can grab the template for 20% off today and tomorrow!

I’ll be back tomorrow to show you another A-MAZING new product. Well, I mean, you could go check it out yourself, but I’ll show you what my team has been doing with it! SO fun!

I posted this on Thursday, and it is now Tuesday, SO use code: GetYourCraftOn for 25% off any purchase from my store! Expires 12/16/09.
