Kellie Parry Photography Special!
I am so blessed to have friends who have gifts for taking amazing photos. It’s even more fun when I have the opportunity to watch them develop their photography skillz over the years.
Let’s take my friend Kellie Parry, for example. Great name. She spells it wrong, but we can forgive her, right?
Kellie may not know this, but I’ve been stalking her blogs for the last couple of years. I subscribe to her family blog, her photography website and her Project 365 blog (which then turned into her Project 52 blog for 2011), and I have been watching her photos improve over the years to the point where they are magical. She’s been working a lot with light and sun flare lately (I think she’s mastered it) and she’s been playing around with her gorgeous new backdrops. You should SEE what she can do with babies. I’m tempted to have another one just so I can have her take pictures!! (Okay, just kidding, mom!!)
Last fall, I was lucky enough to get her to take pictures of my sweet family.
I looked FABULOUS! My hair cooperated and everything. The little guy to my right (or, your right) did not look so fabulous, though. He has his Doh! face on. Grr. {Sigh! Oh, what could have been! The colors! The light!!}
Thankfully, Kellie is my friend, so I asked her if we could retake the picture in the hopes that my child would cooperate. She even loaded fart noises onto her iPod for the occasion.
This is better. (And, I cropped it, so don’t judge her cropping abilities! She’s probably cringing right now, but I just HAD to crop these for my ornament project!!)
Just the boys (from the first session, I think):
Be still my heart!!
And, just me and my lover:
{Love this guy!!}
We (I mean, “I”) like to get family pictures done every year, and I was so pleased with our 2010 photos!! I can’t wait to see what she will come up with for 2011!!
I wanted to tell you about Kellie Parry Photography because I just found out that she is now booking sessions for the spring, AND she is having a special!! If you live in the Salem area, check her out!! Actually, I know she goes to Portland and Idaho every once in a while (you know, because I stalk her blog) so you Portlandians and Idahoans might even be able to hire her! Hee, hee! (Don’t you love how I volunteer her services? Hey, it can’t hurt to ask, right?)
Right now, Kellie is giving away two mini accordion albums when you book a session with her before June 30th!
For more details, check out Kellie’s photography website!! Check out ALL of her photos while you are there. Serious eye candy!!
I just HAVE to know. How often does your family get family photos taken? I’ve been in the habit of doing it every year, but I wonder if I am just a weirdo freak. Spill the beans, people!
Disclosure: I totally bribed Kellie to take our family pictures this year in exchange for a little advertising on my blog!! I was THRILLED that she agreed! I truly love her work and I’m so excited to share her talent with you!! Thank you, Kellie!

Those pictures are fantastic! If I was her area, I’d definitely book her.. but I have a feeling y’all would look good in any pictures.

Y’all look fantastic! Wonderful photos! And what boy wouldn’t smile hearing farting sounds? I mean, I still laugh at that. Boys.

Heh, awesome. Serious fart analysts your boys are. Or just weirded out and confused that a girl would have those noises at the ready. =)

Oh my word, Kelleigh, your family is BEAUTIFUL. Seriously gorgeous. I even like the doh face!
I like to get our pics done every year, too, so you’re not weird. I would even do it twice a year- like Fall and Spring- if my husband would allow it. I try to sneak a “hey, let’s take a few quick pictures of everybody!” as often as possible!

Thank you!! Yeah, I LOVE family pictures. I’m rarely in any pictures, so I try to sneak in a quick “everybody” picture every now and then. Our 2009 picture is actually a snapshot on Mother’s Day!
