30 Ornaments in 30 Days . . . Day 2!

2 November 2009 2,959 views 3 Comments

I’m still here! Made it to Day 2!! LOL! (Going strong, right?)

For today’s ornament, I used my Door Hanger Template Set to create a little box that can be hung on the tree to hold a gift card, cash, a coupon book for back-rubs, etc. I also thought it would be a great starting point for a Christmas morning scavenger hunt. Have you ever needed to hide a particularly big present elsewhere in the house? If so, send the kids on a scavenger hunt, and leave the first clue in this little box.

Oh, I’ve got another idea: This would be PERFECT for an advent calendar!! AND, you can fit two boxes on a single sheet of 8.5×11 paper!

For the purpose of this little blog post, I tucked some printed gift tags inside from Danielle Engebretson’s Delights of December digital kit (which I can’t find anywhere to link you to! Sorry!).

I cut a couple of slits in the back and ran a ribbon through it so that I could hang it from the tree.

Cute, eh? You love this idea, don’t you?

Did you happen to create an ornament yesterday? If so, leave a comment so we can see!

I need to start on ornaments, too. Still trying to recover from halloween.
