Fourth of July
I come from a HUGE family. I’m the second oldest of 10 kids and most of my siblings are married with children. About 3/4 of my tribe descended on my house beginning in late June, and about half of them are still here!
We came together to celebrate the life of my Grandpa who passed away on my birthday, June 23, 2012. We know that my Grandpa is in heaven with his Savior, so although we are very sad that he is gone, we know that he is running around with a new body in perfect health. We are so thankful for this knowledge!
We have been having so much fun together as a family! For the Fourth of July, we had a backyard BBQ and lit fireworks in the driveway. My in-laws and my Grandma were able to join us. Later that night, several of us went to the next town over to watch the BIG fireworks. Such a blast!

It IS wonderful to be from a large family! I’m 7th of 10, 5 of each sex, and every year we have a sibling reunion. In 1990 was the last time (maybe only time) we had a complete family reunion of siblings and their children and their children. There were 120 who attended, but there are more of us ‘out there’ in the far western states that couldn’t make it back to western New York. I make that comment to drive home just what two people, mom and dad, have ‘wrought.’ LOL To keep that in some perspective our ages today would range from 88 to 65 if the oldest and youngest were still living.
Congratulations to your son winning the limo trip. I’m glad to have seen the pictures - I’ve never known of nor seen a stretch SUV before…very impressive!

Love your layout picture of your Dad with your sons. I didn’t know (or didn’t remember if you posted before) that you are from a large family. My Mother was one of ten but I just have two sisters. It would be fun to have such a large family. I am sorry to learn about your Grandpa. I agree with you that it is a comfort to know that he is with the Lord. Enjoy your family!
