If you are a newsletter subscriber, then you already know about the drama that ensued last week! Short story: the server at The Digichick crashed and we had to recreate the store from scratch. The good news is, this has forced me to update some of my older files to include cutting files! I’ll be re-releasing them over the next couple of months, and I’m SO excited about that.

We celebrated the grand re-opening of our store with The Digichick Homecoming Parade this last weekend! I got a little sneak peek at the floats on Friday as I was frantically working to get my store back up, and I have to tell you that I got a little teary-eyed!

The hybrid artists (The Hybrid Chicks, TDC designers, and CT members) created actual floats. Parade floats. Like, they made real floats that you might see in a parade except miniature, and each one represented a current or former Digichick designer. The floats are UNBELIEVABLE.

I must take a moment to show off the float that Sinead (the store owner) made to represent ME!

Eeek! Isn’t it amazing?! It’s even better when you look up close.

Look! It’s a little work surface made with one of my label templates, resting on a box template. She made a teensy-weensy little purse, and there is a little cash envelope, and another little box (jewelry box?) that are all ready to be assembled. Ack! And, she used my new digital paper!!!

And, look! It’s a little display case (made with my Candy Dispenser Template) displaying teensy-weensy little templates!! Can you see my little shop banner over the top? Eeek!

She made the wheels with my Paper Flower Pieces template, and there’s more of my paper! In fact, ALL of it is using my paper!

Seriously, all of the floats are just incredible and worth a bit of time to admire over in the Homecoming Parade Thread. The lovely artists are adding their creations to the Hybrid gallery over at the Digichick, so please take a moment to leave some love in the comments of their project.

Sinead, you are an amazing woman!! You created this gorgeous float, fixed our store, held us (and our sanity) together during a stressful time, and we all came out stronger as a team and closer to one another in the end. Thank you for all that you do!! Thanks for going above and beyond and showing grace under pressure! I’m glad you are my friend!
