I had SO much fun creating my newest template.

Since Valentine’s Day is coming up, I figured that I needed to create something that will make your life a little easier and get your creative juices going!

Check out the Heart Cup Template Set:

And, here is what I did with it:

Eeeek!  Isn’t that CUTE?!  Good grief.  Can’t you picture it stuffed to the gills with cookies or candies?

The template comes in two sizes, and you can see from my sample that you can either put a handle on it, or not! The big heart is pretty BIG, even though it fits on a single 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.  The little heart is so cute!  It would be perfect for bridal shower favors, baby shower favors or Valentines for your child’s class.

Here are the details about my project:

The small heart was created with digital paper from the So Grateful digital kit by Sugarplum Paperie and Sahlin Studio.  I used the .psd file and “clipped” the paper to the “mask”.  I recolored the lines and printed the whole thing out on Epson Matte Premium Presentation Paper.  (Learn more about using digital papers and my templates by visiting the tutorials along the top of the page at The Hybrid Chick.)

For the large heart, I used the .pdf files, which can be opened on any computer that has the free application called Adobe Reader.  I printed the template on fast draft mode so that the lines would be faint, and I was sure to select my borderless printing option.  The red heart is white core cardstock by Close To My Heart, which I sanded just a bit so the white would show through.

The strip of paper in the middle is all one piece of paper!  The heart is a digital element, the paper is digital, and the drop shadow is digital.  I simply punched the edges with a Martha Stewart doily paper punch.  Kinda cool, huh?  Can’t you see yourself mass-producing these?  I can!!

Don’t forget that ALL new releases at The Digichick are on sale through Friday night!  Go check them out!
