Kelleigh -
I can TOTALLY vouch for the couch to 5k program. A year ago I was a non-runner. I was a swimmer ONLY. I was a juvenile rheumatoid arthritis kid, in fact. Since I was in middle school I had been restricted to water sports and truly thought I would NEVER ever be a runner. Ever ever never!

Now I run about 25 minutes straight 3 days a week without walking. I love it, it gives me endorphins and makes me feel like I can do anything!

I remember when I hit 8 minutes straight on the Couch to 5k, I seriously felt like giving up, but I pushed through and now 8 minutes isn't a big deal. Once I got past that hurdle, there was no looking back!

I do not aspire to doing marathons, or half marathons. But to keep me motivated, I am signing up for a 5k every now and then. They're fun, energetic and you get a shirt. And isn't it all about the shirt? I mean really? ;)

I am proud of you... you *ROCK*!!!

good job on running! I have a hard time saying no to the sweets and carbs. It was actually easier when I couldn't have ANY. Now that I can, I over indulge. It's hard work. But you will be happy you put in the effort.

I'm cutting back on my Diet Coke...does that count? I've actually lost a few pounds. I'm working toward not drinking any! I will confess that I most likely will never be a runner. Hurts the "girls" too much! And takes me back to gym class in school where I almost threw up each time I ran. No thanks! I like to walk though! *Ü*
