More Coupon Scores!

17 September 2009 900 views 2 Comments

I’m sorry you have to put up with the postings of my obsessive couponing behavior, but . . . I’m having SO much fun!  This will be a fast one.  I did the Safeway deal a couple more times (okay, 4 times), and although 2 of my transactions did not yield free Capri Suns (and I knew they wouldn’t, because they were not included in the ad), I did get them for practically free.  Well, actually . . . do you see those 8 bags of Nature Valley Nut Clusters?  $1.00 for all 8.  Yeah.  I know.  Yummy in salads, or just by the handful!  How?  Check out the Frugal Living NW blog to get the links to the coupons.  PLUS, I also used manufacturers coupons from the Sunday paper and ecoupons on my Safeway card.  It’s a long story.  I’ll spare you.

$6.90 total / 18 items = .38¢ per item!

So, WHAT am I going to do with all of this?  I see quick on-the-go breakfast, salad toppings and trail mix, soccer team drinks, afterschool snacks and preschool class snacks.  Not to mention lunch fillers.

I promise, I would spend A LOT more than this if I were to swing by the store on the way to the soccer game on our day to bring snacks.  Or, how about when I’m asked to bring snacks for preschool?  Now, I’m prepared . . . and for just 38¢ an item!

Okay, for those of you who read my blog for gorgeous papercrafting inspiration, don’t give up on me!  I’ll be back with some gorgeous, creative projects!

Nice! I just bought another 11 items (3 freebie coupons) and got 7 boxes of cereal, fruit snacks, 2 Capri Suns, and some dog food for $ .66 an item. Tomorrow I’ll be stocking up on Nature Valley including those Clusters.
