Well, we arrived back in the U.S. on Tuesday afternoon, took the shuttle back to the hotel and promptly went to bed (at 5:30pm). We woke up the next morning (way too early!) and drove back home to pick up our kids.

Oh, those precious boys! I always stress about seeing them after a long time away from them. Who am I going to hug first? How do you decide? What can I say to convey how much I missed them? Will they love my hugs or push me away? And, why do I stress about this stuff? Because I’m a crazy woman in love with my kids!!

Anyway, they squeezed me tight and made me feel like I was missed. Good for them. {sigh}

I came home to a new bathroom floor, freshly vacuumed carpet (put back into place), and a layer of dust covering almost everything. Despite the dust, I’m happy with the job the repair guys did on my flooded bathroom. They even fixed some irritating problems that had been stressing me out for 5 years. Oh, and found my touch-up paint and touched up, too! So nice. Wonder what the bill will be.

So, today I’m cleaning. And cleaning. And just feeling paralyzed by how much cleaning I have to do. It’s not just the pick-it-up stuff. It’s the layer of grime covering every surface, PLUS putting items that had been moved out of harms way BACK where they go. And, making lists of things to do: Grant’s birthday party, cleaning, a new grab bag, cleaning, get a template to Bella Scraps, cleaning, get the boys haircuts, cleaning, customer service, new releases, CT stuff, laundry, gardening, painting, cleaning. You know. Paralyzing stuff.

And, what did I do? I hopped on my blog to update you all. It a coping mechanism.

Vienna was awesome! We even went to Salzburg and Prague! It was super tiring. We didn’t sleep very well, and we walked all over the place. My sandals are shot. My toenails need to be re-painted. But, we EXPERIENCED. I saw a t-shirt on a blog this morning that said something like, “Coffee! You can sleep when you are dead.” Yep. That was pretty much the motto of the trip.

I downloaded my pictures and will post them when I have the time. No promises, though. Could be tomorrow, could be next month. We’ll see! In the meantime, I need to finish cleaning my bedroom or I will go insane. Baby steps.

    Sounds like the trip was bliss on steroids – glad the coffee helped! Welcome to my daily life of dust. Our current dust storm (dust as fine as talcum powder) has been two weeks. You just can’t keep it clean.
