Hi Bev! I use the Scotch brand laminating film, but I only laminate thin paper. I feel like cardstock weight paper doesn't really need the laminating, but the thin stuff does. The Scotch brand is 5 mil. (I think) and comes in a red box that you can get at office supply, craft stores or Walmart. I have one of those personal size laminators, so that is what I use. I hope you find a solution that works for you! I have a feeling that you might just have thick paper!

I made the envelopes and had them laminated. They turned out beautifully, but the lamination made them so thick that they will not stay closed and barely fit in my wallet, even without the cash in them yet. Is there a thinner lamination that is available?

I am currently taking the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace coarse and I love, love, love your envelopes. It is tough getting use to the cash but your envelopes will fit perfectly in my wallet. Great idea!!!

Hey, thanks for the tutorial! What BEAUTIFUL envelopes!! While I never carry cash (I'd rather be racking up air miles) I thought they'd be great for coupons, receipts, tickets, etc. At Michaels yesterday I bought a stack of scrapbook paper (they were even on sale! 20 cents/sheet!) and went to work. I don't have a Dave Ramsay wallet, but they'll fit nicely into my journal using the card stock technique. I can't believe how gorgeous they turned out!! Thanks so much :)

I checked out your etsy store and while I love the idea, I really am not a fan of any of the paper prints you're selling! Will you be adding any other colors/patterns? Something a bit more simple and classic, perhaps?
