Last night I laminated two sets of cash envelopes that I sold yesterday, and I was SO impressed at how they turned out that I just HAD to show you.

This particular paper is already very thick and sturdy, but by getting them laminated, the new owner can be confident that it will hold up for years!

Check out that glitter!! Yes, the lamination makes the glitter on some of the envelope sets just pop! So pretty!

I decided to add the labels after laminating the sets so that if your budget changes over the next few years you can just peel the label off and put a new one on. At least, I think you can peel. In theory, I suppose.  However, the glue I used is super strong and I was amazed at how well the paper adhered to the plastic! Very cool.

I designed these sets so that the flap can be inserted into the checkbook slot or large slot of your wallet as shown.

However, my personal wallet actually has the slot on the opposite side, so for my set I just flip the insert over and slip it in!

The cool thing is that now that we are dealing with a laminated set, you really could just toss the whole set right into your purse without having it in your wallet. Of course, if you want it to last longer, you’ll protect it from the contents of your purse by putting it in a wallet or maybe a clutch, but you technically COULD!

I just love the look of the laminated sets!!

To keep prices down, I am offering laminating services as an optional add-on for many of my sets.  Some sets, however, just really benefit from being laminated (since the paper is thinner), so I am automatically adding that to some of them.  I highly recommend laminating, no matter what, because they really will last a lot longer!

I knew I was working hard, but I guess it didn’t really hit me until I saw my shop.

It’s kinda like saying, “I come from a big family”.  See, when you come from a big family, it doesn’t seem like a big deal.  Every family member is completely indispensable, and your home feels nice and cozy.  Very normal.  THEN, when you see a picture of your big family, you’re like, “Hello!  Where did this big group come from?  Oh yeah.  That’s my family.”  I’m  not kidding when I tell you that I felt like this ALL the time growing up.

So, I’m one of 10 or 11 kids (give or take).  Eh.  Whatever.  It’s really not a big deal.

Good gracious.  I do go off on tangents, don’t I?  Ahem.

I re-vamped and re-released three of my most popular templates this week! Check it out:

For my sample, I used Quirky Twerp’s Little Beach Bum paper pack.  LOVE it!  And, yes, that is the Paper Flower Pieces freebie that I used to make that flower.

You’ll notice that I have released one set of the whole shebang (Templates and Cutting Files) and one set of Cutting Files ONLY so that those of you who have purchased these templates in the past don’t have to re-purchase them to get in on the cutting fun!  PLUS, if you pick them up on New Release Day (which is essentially from Wednesday night through Friday night) you can grab them at a 20% discount.

For my sample, I used Sarah J’s Bloom Paper Pack.  Lovely!  All of her papers are SO hybrid friendly!

For those of you who are wondering what “re-vamped” means, it means that I got rid of a bunch of extra dotted lines. SO, instead of seeing a bunch of scoring lines running down your project, you will see a small tick of a line on one end and a small tick on the other end.  MUCH cleaner.  You simply connect the dots using your straight edge and a scoring tool.  Now, no more inked edged to hide the lines!  YAY!

I did NOT create a perforated edge in the cutting files.  I know that at least one of my design team members thought that I should leave the little tiny dashes so that you didn’t even have to break out your scoring tool, but it took forever to cut and looked sloppy in the end.  I decided to go for clean!  Hope you all don’t mind having to use your tools!

For my sample, I used Jennifer Labre’s Color Me Happy kit.  It is GORGEOUS! You’ll want to click on that link to see for yourself.

See those great little scalloped edges? I’ve seen a couple of gorgeous projects that you all have made with scallops along the edges of the flaps, and I totally copied you.  AND, I decided that it would be cool to have a set of scalloped edge cutting files made specifically to go along the curve of my Fancy and Funky Bags.  SO, I hooked you up with another freebie!  Make sure you add it to your cart while you are checking out!

First up is a set of 8 scalloped borders that I just KNOW will look wonderful on your hybrid projects.  You can cut these by hand (yikes!) or with your digital die-cut machine (whew!).  OR, you can also use them on your digital layouts!!  Yay!

I have also created a set of labels with frames around them (which you can remove, of course) that are okay for commercial use.  Use them to decorate your hybrid projects, add to your digital pages, or whatever!

Here is what I did with these new releases:

I used the Remember These Days digital kit by Nikki Epperson (it contains SO many wonderful papers for hybrid projects!).  See the pretty scallop?  That’s my favorite one.  (BTW – Cole sat on this box just moments after I took this picture.  Argh.)  I also used my Hourglass Template Set (which is STILL on sale for $2 Tuesday, even though it is Thursday.  Note to self: turn it off . . . but give the blog readers one last chance to pick it up . . .)

Mitch needed me to make a retirement card for his friend, so I obliged!  For this card, I used a pattern from the Originals Card Confidence Book by Close To My Heart and some digital paper by Jennifer Fox.  I actually grabbed TWO for the price of one by picking up Jennifer’s She Sells Seashells Down By the Seashore bundle.  The girl version is called She Sells Seashells and the boy version is Down By The Seashore.  Clever, huh?!  And, the papers are to die for.  Adorable elements, too!
